In brief
Posting personal information on a web page can lead to unwanted attention. It is easy to forget that more than just your friends and family have access to your site. When you post personal information in a social network site such as Facebook or MySpace, you significantly increase the odds of people outside of your intended audience viewing your profile. Posting personal contact information, photos or descriptions of illegal activities, or material that might be considered pornographic could have disastrous results.
