What would you like to do?
Join the UChicago network from anywhere in the world via the VPN
In brief
A virtual private network (VPN) is a method for creating a secure connection on top of an insecure network. The University uses it to allow access to on-campus-only resources from off campus.
Do it now
To log onto the VPN, just point your browser to http://cvpn.uchicago.edu. The first time you connect, the VPN will install some software; you will need administrative privileges on your machine to complete this process. For detailed instructions about connecting to the network and information about VPNs, visit our VPN Documentation page.
