What would you like to do?
Register or manage a CNAME |
|---|
|
In brief
A CNAME is a DNS hostname which, instead of mapping to an IP address, maps to another DNS hostname. CNAMES, used almost exclusively by System Administrators, are useful when it is desirable to have multiple hostnames resolve to the same IP address. You can register a new CNAME, convert an existing CNAME to a host record, and manage an existing CNAME with NSIT.
