Connect to the University of Chicago network using the modem pool
In brief
The University of Chicago offers free network access via the modem pool to all campus members of the University community.    
Do it now
The phone number for the model pool is 773-926-1600. We recommend installing the Connectivity Software, which will properly configure the connection for current Macintosh or Windows machines. If your computer is not supported by the Connectivity Software, visit the Manual Dialup Settings page for information about configuring your connection. To connect to the network, follow the steps on the Getting Connected page.

What to know first:The modem pool automatically disconnects sessions after three hours of continuous use. We have a policy of maximum usage at six hours per day per user.
