Lease a computer
In brief
The leasing program supplies computers with a standard hardware configuration, imaged hard drives with the current operating system, and bundled with the software that site licensing provides the University. For budget planning purposes, the Leasing program provides a consistent set of services at a known cost, so that departments can include the costs in their operational budgets and reduce unanticipated expenditures for computers. This feature allows leasing staff to rapidly replace a computer suffering from any hardware failures, to swap computers easily and therefore to ensure a minimal amount of computer downtime to the affected department.
