In brief
Email is ubiquitous on campus, but different departments have different email solutions. In addition, email options are sometimes different for students, faculty and staff even in the same department.

Do it now
For students: cMail is available free of charge. It allows storage of up to 1 gigabyte of email. To get started, just claim your CNetID, then download the NSIT Connectivity Software or visit Webmail. For faculty and staff: A large number of departments direct faculty, students and staff to NSIT's free email option, cMail, but you should check with your local technical support (if available) to determine the best course of action. Assuming that your choice is cMail, simply claim your CNetID, then download NSIT's Connectivity Software or visit Webmail and you'll be able to get started. (Note: Some departments also choose to use NSIT's fee-for-service email option, xMail. Your department will inform you if that is the case.)
