In brief
An alias (sometimes also called a nickname) is a pointer to your cnetid@uchicago.edu address, which allows you to receive mail at alias@uchicago.edu in addition to your regular cnetid@uchicago.edu address.

Do it now
To remove an alias, go to our Email page and click the "Edit your alternate @uchicago.edu addresses" link. Deleted aliases stop forwarding email immediately and immediately become available for other people to claim as aliases or CNetIDs. You can have up to five aliases, in addition to your CNetID@uchicago.edu address. |
