In brief
NSIT has introduced Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) at the University of Chicago. While the IBX infrastructure will remain for most departments for the near future, all new construction will be fitted with IP Phones. Over the next few years, we will be contacting departments to transition them to VoIP.
