What would you like to do?
Connect to the University network using the VPN |
|---|
In brief
The VPN (virtual private network) allows University community members access to restricted services from off campus. It is not recommended as a substitute for the web proxy, since it requires the installation of fairly complex and invasive software.
Do it now
To log onto the VPN, just point your browser to http://cvpn.uchicago.edu. The first time you connect, the VPN will install some software; you will need administrative privileges on your machine to complete this process. For detailed instructions about connecting to the network and information about VPNs, visit the VPN Documentation page. |
